Are you aware that Fairfax County Public Schools anticipates having to face a budget deficit of $100 to $200 million for FY 2011 (next school year)? During the FY 2010 budget cycle (current school year), FCPS closed a budget deficit of $200 million.  If the school system has to make additional cuts for the FY 2011 budget, it will be the third consecutive year that the FCPS budget has been cut.
